WASA (VASA)

The 17th Century

The WASA (or Vasa) was built on the orders of the King of Sweden Gustavus Adolphus as part of the military expansion he initiated in a war with Poland-Lithuania (1621–1629). She was greater than any ship ever built at that time.

In 1961, after 333 years on the sea bed, the mighty warship was salvaged and recovered.

Today, Wasa is the world’s only preserved 17th century ship. She is displayed in the Vasa museum and it becomes the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

•    Use high-quality wood such as rosewood, ebony, black wood, mahogany wood…., timbers are after process step of pre-construction.
•    The Wasa model ship is built on scale by the original plan, then drawn up  and painted by actual photographs to ensure the best accuracy.
